Hi all,
 I had business in Silver Spring and environs, so on my way home I stopped by Blue Mash very briefly to see if anything good was in the big pond. I only had a chance to check the big pond as trail mowing was underway, but there I saw 1 Pectoral Sandpiper, 2 Semipalmated Plovers, many Killdeer, many Least Sandpipers, one or two Spotted Sandpipers, one Great Egret and one Great Blue Heron. Many mallards too. The pond is very close to drying up, with water in only the deepest parts. I had no time to check out any other trails or the other pond. I may have more time tomorrow when I have work in Bethesda mid-morning.
