Hi All:
  We had 5 great egrets flying over the Potomac River above Great Falls this morning - most unusual.

  One of the juvenile bald eagles was crying and following an adult eagle - seemingly to no avail.  

  Two spotted sandpipers were bobbing along the rocks. And we had both a hooded merganser and common merganser.  The hooded was swimming with a cotilla of 20 mallards - was significantly smaller than the others.
