MD Osprey:
No dice.
I put in about an hour at National Harbor. I was hoping the bird
would be heading down the river (in Maryland waters) back towards
open waters. However, for consolation, I had the pier virtually to
myself ... "George and Martha" (adult Bald Eagles) were on their
usual roost ... some nice Jimmy Buffet and the calypso music was
being piped in, with a cool breeze ... all I needed was an ice cold
Land Shark beer ... but I digress ...
Thought about taking a mini pelagic on the water taxi ...
Drove across the WW Bridge (I forgot that you can walk across it now
... and bird from the apex?) and then drove up the Alexandria
shoreline to Gravelly Point ... I had forgotten how much fun it is to
watch airplanes land just over your head ... but I digress again ...
I really gotta get out more ... <grin>
