Nice to be out as the weather improves.

Tonight at Henryton there were fledged OVENBIRDS, LA WATERTHRUSH...the expected residents still singing at dusk. A lovely Imperial Moth was a highlight.

Yesterday at Middle Patuxent Environmental Area I heard at least 6 YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOOS and had a family of BARRED OWLS begging at dawn at the base of the Cricket Creek Trail.

The Howard Conservancy had a flock of 16 or more CHIPPING SPARROWS :)

Nice assortment of butterflies and fungus...all entertaining as we wait for October :).
