The pond at Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center was flush with shorebirds and wading birds yesterday.

The American White Pelican was still present at 10:30 and there was also a pair of American Avocet as well. Over 50 Snowy Egrets, as well as half a dozen Great Egrets and Tri-Colored Herons also were there. There was a mess of pipers, plovers, and yellowlegs as well, but I was short on time, and expertise, and unable to devote much attention to them.

The pond is right off the parking lot and well worth the trip to Grasonville.
