Evening all,
I took the dog for a walk around the yard this evening, around 7 PM. The sunlight was good and shining on the row of trees behind our yard, mostly wild cherries, full of fruit. Lots of variety in a short walk, including a male Indigo Bunting and male Scarlet Tanager on the same branch, E. Wood-Pewee, E. Kingbird (2), and E. Phoebe, Orchard Orioles (the same ones I saw perched on our deck rail a couple of days ago) including a 1st year male feeding two fledglings, lots of robins, Chipping Sparrow young and old, E. Bluebirds, lots of very active hummingbirds, goldfinches and House Finches, a pair of House Wrens, N. Mockingbirds, and a calling Yellow-billed Cuckoo.

Yesterday and the day before I watched a Grasshopper Sparrow flitting around the side yard and perching on our fence. It went in and out of our brush pile, where I was able to get a few very good photos of it perched on a dead stick above the pile. Am using it as my screen saver now.

Enjoying the fresh clean air after the rains,
