Sorry for not posting earlier and warn those who are going to be
careful in the large blind (the one on the beach side).
I was at CBEC yesterday morning and saw the already reported White
Pelican, the 2 American Avocets, 35 Egrets (5 or 6 Great, all others
Snowy), 2 Tricolored Herons, many Yellowlegs sp., Killdeer, Semi-
palmated Plovers, Least and Semi-Palmated Sandpipers, a few Least
Terns, 2 Bald Eagles, and many Ospreys.
As I was photographing from the blind, my friend Jennifer Kawar
suddenly screamed and ran out, followed by a few hornets. She had been
stung in 3 places and I can testify that it's painful because I was
next in line. No problem in the second blind from which we had close
views of a Tricolored Heron and several egrets. Beautiful place and
great birds.
For anyone interested, later today I will finish uploading photos from
CBEC, and from recent visits to North Beach and Hughes Hollow:

Good birding,
