A Western Kingbird was reported this afternoon on Delaware Birds, spotted on power lines along Whitehall Neck Rd. near Parson Point Rd., a short distance from the entrance to Bombay Hook. I took a ride over and arrived around 5:15PM. I couldn't locate the bird, so I started back toward's home. As I passed a private driveway between Parson Point and Bear Swamp Rds., I saw a single bird on power lines, maybe 75 yards into the private driveway. I pulled over and took out my scope and happily got a nice look at the bird. I watched him for about ten minutes and was able to get some distant photos.
