Hi all,

I joined John Dennehy and Brad Cernohorksy yesterday searched for their county and lifebirds in lower eastern shore. We start at bayside/point for dawn flight and we got a few. Nice one was a early yellow race Palm Warbler. Onto to do a seawatch but unfavorable wind out of ENE not a ideal one but we enjoy seeing 4 Wilsons Storm Petrel, a gannet and an adult Gull-billed Tern headed N. Not much interesting at causeway, Truitts Landing was slow, water too high. Things got better at Salisbury Airport with 3 Upland Sandpipers and a Grasshopper Sparrow. We also checked out Fooks Rd which is a really nice place, we're surprised to see a early Magnolia Warbler with a small pocket of bird activity.

Earlier this Thursday Aug 12th, Stan Arnold and I were going to do OSV Zone and were cut short due to approaching storms. While we were on the beach, we had 14 Wilson's Storm Petrel, 1 gannet, 1 eastern and 12 western Willet, 6 Lesser Black-backed Gull including 1 adult, 2 2nd summer and 3 3rd summer, 6 terns including 4 Least, 1 Black, 58 Common, 3 Forsters, 16 Royal and 2 Sandwich. At the causeway, we had a nice look at a Northern Waterthrush. At the Truitts Landing we got caught in a heavy storms and unable to get out after seeing thousands of shorebirds and many ducks through car windows. At Hurlock, all 6 swallow species. At Horseehad, only 4 dozens shorebirds and white pelican still around and miss the phalarope Dan Small had earlier.
