Subject: Poplar Island Sightings from August 9,2010
This report is submitted on behalf of Jan Reese of Talbot County, who
continues to periodically survey the flora and fauna of the Paul Sarbanes
Ecosystem Restoration Project at Poplar Island.
Some of the birds were seen from the boat during the trip from
Tilghman Island and back.
Note the presence of Greater Yellowlegs, Ruddy Turnstone and B-G
Gnatcatcher along with high numbers of Semipalmated Sandpipers, Least
Sandpipers, Osprey and Canada Geese.
Weather: Clear, hazy a.m., Partly cloudy p.m.
