Hey everyone-

I met Leslie Starr at 5:30pm today to pick up a scope she was letting me borrow for a trip I am doing tomorrow.  After getting the scope, I headed home, but after checking my email, found myself right back at Leslie's house at 6:00pm, to pick her up on the way to see the Phalarope.  We arrived at Western Regional park at around 6:45pm, and were immediately put on the RED PHALAROPE, which was a lifer for both of us, and a very entertaining rarity.  At one point, it was confronted by a Snapping Turtle, but it quickly flew to the other side of the pond.
