Hi Everyone,

Brad Lanning sent me the following about a BLACK TERN in Washington Co. on Tuesday (8/24). Nice find, Brad!

"Hi guys, we found a Black Tern feeding with the swallows at the treatment pond in Boonsboro about 6:30 p yesterday evening. We watched it fly for quite some time until it landed on one of the many structures in the pond. This allowed for excellent study in the scope and was the first time we all have had that opportunity for a perched bird. It was in mostly winter plumage and actively feeding when we headed home for some delicious potato soup that my Grandmother made. A great way to end the day! Take care and good birding!

Brad"

Best,

Bill
