About 7am while I was watching the movements of the Great Egrets an
immature White Ibis flew in low from the west, made one big loop around the
impoundments and disappeared flying to the west. I was here until 10am and
never saw it again. I walked downstream from Sycamore Landing and didn't
find it.
Best place to search for it would be Summit Hill Turf Farm and upriver
from Sycamore Landing. Of course it might come back to Hughes Hollow.
Before the Great Egrets started putting on their show here, I was
thinking about finding a White Ibis. I guess if you wait long enough things
happen.
