The plover was in the southern entrance of Herrington Harbor - on the little beach where the hotel is found.  NOT in the northern part of the harbor.  It is private property and so marked, so do be polite and discreet.  The bird was quite close to the entry.

At noon I visited Herrington Harbor in Rose Haven very briefly.  There on the 
each was a black bellied plover.  I returned about 2:30 - it was on the rocks, 
ut still visible.
