Morning all,
This mornings walk around the yard produced a nice juvenile Red-headed Woodpecker, which was actively working on a fence post in my neighbors pasture. My eye was quickly drawn to the "white" spot across the field before I ever brought my bins up. Then I watched it for at least 15 minutes before it flew off. Other posts held a pair of N. Flickers, E. Bluebirds and House Finches. As I walked along our fence, I noticed that the RHWP had returned, so whatever it had found in the fence post held its attention. It was still there when I moved on.

Last night around 6:30 PM, there was a lone E. Kingbird in one of the trees in our side yard and a single Comon Nighthawk flew over heading west, rather high.
