Lisa and I managed to get a few hours' birding at Violette's and Riley's Locks this afternoon, after the storms had passed. We were hoping for a fly-by Black Tern or American Avocet, but had to settle for a distant Caspian Tern flying upriver and two Common Terns sitting on a floating log. Full eBird lists below. 

In other news, a Red-Eyed Vireo was calling in our woods at home this morning, the first passerine migrant we've heard singing in many weeks. Fall approaches..
