Jarrettsville yard birds, late August-September

HI all,


 
   Since August 26th, yard birds been pretty good in late afternoon/evening better than morning with migrants eager to move on as soon it's dark.  Between 4pm-745pm, mostly after 6pm.


Beside common birds: vultures, red-shouldered hawk, doves, swifts, red-belly woodpecker, downy woodpecker, flicker, pewee, jays, crows, chickadees, titmice, nuthatch, both wrens, bluebirds, robin, catbirds, mockingbird, starlings, chippers, cardinals, grackle, house finches and goldfinches seen daily or almost daily: 

Aug 26th: 1 kingbird, 2 barn swallows
moon birding: 35+ bird sp plus 1 green heron, 1 woodcock and 1 martin.

Aug 27th: 1 kingbird, 2 tree swallows, 1 gnatcatcher, 1 waxwing, 1 
          chestnut-sided warbler

Aug 30th: 12 geese, 1 nighthawk (SSE 617pm), 1 phoebe, 1 kingbird, 2 tree 
          swallows, 1 barn swallow

Aug 31st: 1 nighthawk (SW 640pm), 1 hummer, 1 kingbird, 12 tree & 1 barn 
          swallows, 1 gnatcatcher, 1 waxwing

Sept 2nd: 1 eagle, 2 tree swallows, 1 waxwing, 1 common yellowthroat, 1 
          song sparrow

Sept 3rd: 1 lesser yellowlegs following by greater yellowlegs SSE at 742pm,
          1 least flycatcher, 2 gnatcatchers, 1 cowbird
