Today at Turkey Pt in Cecil co, Ruth Bergstrom did her usual impeccable job of leading a field trip for Chesapeake Audubon. A few pockets of migrant songbirds here and there--but slow overall. Not much raptor-wise, either. The warblers, not many of them, were often far or flighty among the shadows of leaves, but we managed to squeeze out 8 species (nashville, tennessee, blackpoll, redstart, mag, chestnut, parula, black n white). Good looks at osprey, bald eagles, a couple of cooper's. Nice to hear a singing brown thrasher and white-eyed vireo.
