Hi Karen,
Sounds like one of the hybrids known as "Brewster's" Warbler which can be
rather variable. There are some good examples of these illustrated in both
Sibley and the Peterson Warbler book. Where was your Connecticut Warbler
(that is, within the Arboretum?) Was it an adult or a young bird?
