I was impressed with the number of shorebirds and herons when I
was at CBEC/Horsehead briefly Friday afternoon, so I decided to
return this morning to spend more time and found even more.
Highlights were a basic plumage WILSON'S PHALAROPE (likely the
same bird first found by Linda Friedland and Lydia Schindler
Friday morning at that location), a surprising 36 JUVENILE STILT
SANDPIPERS (Maryland high count so far this year on eBird), and an
AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVER in unusually wet habitat (it moved very
little while I was there, so I'm wondering if it might be partly
