I found a Baird's Sandpiper mid-day at Triadelphia Reservoir on the mudflats north of the Greenbridge/pipeline trail on the Montgomery County side. It was with several Killdeer and Least Sandpipers, providing useful comparisons of size and structure. I ran back to the car to get a camera, but I wasn't able to get any good photos in the rainy conditions before all the birds took off and flew into Howard County. I couldn't follow them far enough to tell if they landed across the reservoir or kept on flying.
When I arrived there was Caspian Tern flying around the reservoir. I also found a migrant flock that contained a Nashville Warbler.
