I birded in Bowie late this afternoon after the rain. The highlight was 2 Red-breasted Nuthatches in the pines behind the I-Section (along Public Works Road). In this same general area, I also had a nice flock of warblers which included 1 Northern Parula, 2 American Redstarts, 2 Black-throated Green Warblers, 2 Magnolia Warblers, 2 Ovenbirds, 1 Black and White Warbler, and 1 Blackpoll Warbler.

I then ended the day at Governor Bridge Natural Area where birds included a Great-crested Flycatcher, 2 American Redstarts, several Common Yellowthroats, a flyover Cooper's Hawk and a flyover flock of 46 Laughing Gulls.
