A mob of crows attracted me to a large hawk on the ground just over the fence in my neighbor's yard.  It flew away as soon as I looked over the fence, leaving a dead squirrel.  I was initially thinking red-tailed hawk, but the tail (which is all I got a good look at) wasn't right.  After looking through the bird book, I am now thinking it was one of the less-dark phases of the rough-legged hawk.  Anyway, it sure wasn't the Coopers from last week.
