The overnight front pushed a few more migrants to Schoolhouse Pond and birds were actively foraging in the trees around the pond. I came across a couple of groups of birds low in the trees, one of which included a 1st winter Bay-breasted Warbler, 3 Magnolia Warblers, Common Yellowthroat, American Redstart, and a Yellow-bellied Flycatcher. Another group of birds included a House Wren, 4 or 5 Red-eyed Vireos, a group of Catbirds, and another Common Yellowthroat. Other birds were foraging higher in the trees and didn't allow good views.

Other birds included a flyover adult Bald Eagle, 13 Wood Ducks, 11 Chimney Swifts, a group of noisy Blue Jays, 3 Eastern Phoebes, and a Belted Kingfisher. There were no flyover gulls today, but they have been more numerous recently. I've had small numbers of flyovers in the morning, and small groups stopping in at the pond briefly at lunchtime the last few days. Most have been Laughing Gulls, but there have been a handful of immature Herring and Ring-billed Gulls mixed in as well.
