I heard Franzen on the radio the other day (Fresh air or Diane Rehm?)
and it turns out he is an avid birder.

I thought it might be of some interest to our birding community that  
the Oprah Book Club Selection "Freedom" by Jonathan Franzen has a  
Cerulean Warbler on the cover. I don't know what the connection is to  
the plot of this novel but this certainly isn't a bird that most  
people would know.
