Ran into Mark Linardi and John Landers about 0800 and we made a
threesome [golf, anyone?] for the morning, patrolling the side of the
Minebank Run, alternating a leg going west and return with a leg go-
ing east and return. A final west leg again rounded out a 4+ hr. walk.
A total of 41 spp., ranging from GREEN HERON to BALD EAGLE.
Highlights were: several PEWEEs, including one obliging fellow pos-
ing for photos at shoulder level, about 6' away; both WB & RB NUT-
HATCHes; HOUSE & CAROLINA WREN; all the mimids, incl. one
very chummy BROWN THRASHER keeping company w/us along the
west leg; a no. of RE and WARBLING VIREOs [one of the former
almost converted to a PHILLY, until we decided it was a colorful
young 'un], the latter being fairly common at CVP; a nice male RB
GROSBEAK; and, spotted mid-way back along the west leg, a rising
kettle of what looked to be BROAD-WINGED HAWKS, rising above
the ridge to the south of us, left to the "pro's" to post on this.

Also, a nice collection of 10 warblers:
BLACK & WHITE~4 or 5
NASHVILLE~3
MAGNOLIA~4 or 5
BT BLUE--1 female
BT GREEN--1
Ch-SIDED~2
PALM~2 or 3 [western r.]
YELLOWTHROAT~4 or 5
**WILSON'S--1 reported by "bazooka" photographer we passed
REDSTART~5 or 6, in all color/pattern phases.
