7:30 AM, on my way to McDonough HS for a meeting, I drove by the sod
farm on Berry Ave in Waldorf where two American Kestrel where pumping
their tails on the recently plowed field.
17 Killdeer and a Red-tailed Hawk were also present.

At McDonough High School, just a bit NE of La Plata, I had a
Yellow-throated Vireo, Scarlet Tanager and N Parula in a mixed flock
enjoying the school's parking lot trees.

Later in the afternoon, I stopped into Myrtle Grove WMA briefly (for
the first time). There I found a Swainson's Thrush, a Great Egret, a
trio of Tree Swallows and a Yellow-bellied Flycathcher down at the
lake.

Lastly, a quick visit to 'The Guv' (Governor Bridge in PG) late this
afternoon produced a Merlin (on the Olive-sided Flycatcher tree), a
Least Flycatcher and a Prairie Warbler.

Good Birding,
