Hi all,

I birded at Governor's Bridge with Jim Stasz and Dave Mozurkewich this
morning before work. The highlight for me was a juvenile CONNECTICUT
WARBLER that showed briefly in the flurry of bird activity on the sunny edge
along the road that goes north to Governors Bridge Road, unfortunately, it
was not relocated despite much effort. Other warblers around were MAGNOLIA,
BLACKPOLL, BAY-BREASTED, CHESTNUT-SIDED, BLACK-AND-WHITE, and NORTHERN
PARULA, there was also a noticeable increase in ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK
numbers.
In a belated note, Jo Anna and I birded the Ocean City area on Saturday 18
September 2010. At Bayside Campground on Assateague we ran into Dave
Powell, Frode Jacobsen, and Jared (whose last name I did not catch), some
highlights from here were 2 DICKCISSELs and 10 WHITE IBIS (unfortunately I
saw them just before the dipped behind some trees and they did not
re-appear) spotted during the morning flight. Other highlights from the day
were: a juvenile YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON at Bayside Development pond, a
personal high count of 62 BLACK SKIMMERs (mostly juveniles) and 6 RED KNOTs
at Castaways Campground.

Good Birding!
