Hi Folks!

This morning I birded Sands Road Park from 8:20 until 11:00. This park is
located on Sands Road opposite its intersection with Bayard Road. in
southwestern Anne Arundel County. There are no trails. The main feature is a
grassed mound covering more than 50 acres. This is a former rubblefill
converted to grassland, Although not seen today, Grasshopper Sparrows and Eastern
Meadowlarks nest here. The Lincoln's were scattered along the route I
walked. The Connecticut was along the edge nearest the Patuxent River woodlands,
but in an area dominated by goldenrod and scattered small shrubs.

Location: Sands Road Park
Observation date: 9/23/10
