Arrived at Gov Bridge Natural Area this morning at dawn expecting some decent migrant activity (I didn't think rain was predicted until later in the day). Only came across one flock with good diversity in the hour or so before it started raining and not much after that; it contained: American Redstarts (2), Black & White Warbler, Magnolia (2), Black-thorated Blue (nice male), Blue-headed Vireo, and Golden-crowned Kinglet. These were all in one tree at one point down by the river with 2 Phoebes, Chickadees, Titmice, and Cardinals. Also had an Ovenbird later on where the chain link fence goes across the gravel road and a few un-ID'd warbler spp. moving quickly through the topside of the canopy. Red-shouldered Hawk, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Hairy Woodpecker, and several Flickers, Red-bellied and Downy (probably the most active guild here today was the woodpeckers). Large flocks of Robins about. Also had great looks at an adult Bald Eagle over the pond. So, pretty nice assortment considering the weather.

Good Birding,
