After the rain abated this afternoon I made a quick circuit around a couple of Howard County areas to see if the weather had forced down anything of interest.

First stop was at the Western Regional Park pond where I found a Pied-billed Grebe and 2 Mallards.

Next I went to the north end of Triadelphia reservoir (via the Montgomery Co. Triadelphia Lake Road access) and found 10 Stilt Sandpipers. Initially they were close to the rocks that overlooks the mudflats but they relocated to the Howard side soon after I found them. Eventually they flew toward Brighton Dam and were not relocated.
Other birds included:
Great Blue Heron - 5
Bald Eagle - 2
Killdeer - 2
Solitary Sandpiper - 1
Least Sandpiper - 4
Crow sp - 6

Then I went to Triadelphia Reservoir to the pipeline via Greenbridge Road (all birds in Mont Co)
Canada Goose - 2
Killdeer - 1
Greater Yellowlegs - 1
Belted Kingfisher - 1

Stops at Pigtail and Big Branch didn't produce any birds.
