I birded the southern part of PG County along the Patuxent River on
Saturday. Some of the highlights were Soras calling from the Calvert
side of the river at Magruder's Ferry, 10 warblers including MOURNING
WARBLER, Lincoln's Sparrow, Northern Bobwhite, Bobolink, and various
other first-of-seasons, all at Milltown Landing.

After Milltown, I made a short stop at Indian Creek WMA in Charles
County where I had a TRAIL's FLYCATCHER - my first ever in October. It
will take a miracle to ever add an actual Willow or Alder to my
October month list.

Yesterday, I stopped by Merkle and Jug Bay (Jackson Landing). Canada
Geese numbers have been steadily rising at Merkle, with there being
425 present yesterday. At Jackson Landing, some of the highlights were
Cape May Warbler, Northern Waterthrush, and Gray-cheeked Thrush.

Full lists for Milltown on Saturday and Jackson Landing yesterday are below:

year that I'm aware of, and there's a chance this bird was released at
that.
