Once again, "Sitting on Our Assateague" will be scanning the skies, trees,
and water for birds on Sunday, October 10th as part of the Big Sit. The
location remains the same at the very end of Bayside Drive in Assateague
Island National Seashore. This is a great location to view migrating birds
and this Big Sit is notorious for unusual species and high species counts.
In 2003, we were the ABA area winners with 103 species!

The circle is centered on a section of boardwalk near the Canoe/Kayak rental
shed. Weather dependent, our Big Sit will begin between 3 and 6 AM and go
until around noon.

Jim Stasz, Bill Hubick, Rob Ostrowski, Betsy Bangert and myself are already
committed and we would love to have as many sets of eyes as possible so
please feel welcome to stop by!
