Hi Everyone,

Yesterday I reported an interesting Prairie Warbler that Stan Arnold, Ed
Carlson, and I found while doing a bird survey at Swan Creek Wetland in northern

Anne Arundel Co. (10/6). The bird was an adult male with a strong wash of orange

in the face and throat. We speculated that the unusual coloration must be
diet-related.

Dave Mozurkewich sent me two links to images that look just like yesterday's
bird, as well as an article from "Birding" that describes how introduced berries

are affecting plumage in many species from Baltimore Orioles to White-throated
Sparrows. See below if interested. Thanks, Dave.
