Winger West and I birded the area where the Connecticut Warbler was found. The area previously described is bounded by the tennis and basketball courts and the asphalt trail from the parking lot down to the asphalt trail that encircles the lake. We first arrived just after the gates opened at 7am and stayed for about 1 1/2 hours. During that time, we spotted what we believe was probably the Connecticut Warbler. We each caught only momentary glimpses of it perched within a small bush and then it dropped down into the brushy hillside. We continued looking and watching for it for quite some time, but did not see it again. Throughtout the day we returned twice after visiting the Howard County Conservancy, Meadowbrook Park, and Middle Patuxent Environmental Area, but did not see it again. We'd both be interested in hearing from anyone else who might try for it.
