Got off to a late start this morning, but ended up having a good day at Blue Mash trail in MoCo. Highlight was a Black Tern over pond close to Zion rd. I approached the pond at about 10:15am and started counting Canada Geese (153btw). While panning in the binos noticed the tern flying low. As soon as I saw it, it started gaining altitude and within about 30 sec flew off to the landfill (SW). I managed a few photos. The yellowbook late date is 10/16. Other notables were 2 purple finch and 2 white crowned sparrows and tons of ruby-crowned kinglets.
