Hi Everyone,

Brad Lanning wrote me about a Black Tern in Montgomery Co. this morning:

"Hi guys, I was on the way into work this morning on Woodfield Rd. just before
Rocky Rd. in Montgomery Co. and happened to look up at the right time to see a
well-lit winter plumaged Black Tern casually flying about the marshy flooded wet
fields there.  The bird was about 40-50 ft. up, above the car and it looked like
it was heading in the direction of Blue
Mash, in case anyone is there.  This was about a ˝ hour ago.  I gave a call on
the cell phone to Jim Green but he is out in Western Maryland right now finding
good sparrows and others.  Just wanted to let you guys know about the sighting
in case you know someone in the area birding. The location is only a few miles
from Blue Mash."

Good birding,

Bill
