Over the last few days we have noted some new arrivals for fall here in our small Bethesda backyard (DC suburb). But first, we saw what was probably our last Ruby-throated Hummingbird on Sunday, October 10. That same day, our first White-throated Sparrows of the fall arrived. On Monday, we had our first Golden-crowned Kinglets, Brown Creeper, and Eastern Towhee. And this morning, Wednesday, Oct. 13, our first Dark-eyed Juncos appeared.
