The Yellow-headed Blackbird was still present this morning near the corner of Rt
5 and Long Neck Rd. Jim Stasz and I re-found the bird shortly before 8am in a
flock consisting largely of cowbirds . The best looks were when the flock went
to the feeders at the first house on Long Neck Rd. The flock would also
occasionally feed on the road edges near the intersection of Long Neck Rd. Cool
bird...thanks Patty!

Subject: [MDOSPREY] Yellow-headed Blackbird in St. Mary's County
Hi All,
This afternoon at about 5:30 I saw a Yellow-headed Blackbird in a fairly large
flock of mixed birds. The flock was in a field adjacent to Route 5 between Long
Neck Road Cornfield Harbor Roads in Scotland. This flock consisted mostly of
Brown-headed Cowbirds and European Starlings with lesser numbers of Red-winged
Blackbirds. I had 3 brief looks at the Yellow-headed Blackbird before a Merlin
scattered the flock and I lost it completely.
Good Birding,
