A very exhausting three days of intensive birding at all the Howard sparrow "hotspots". (most of them private property)
Sparrows were abundant everywhere. Ended up finding all expected species of Howard sparrows with the exclusion of Vesper (no fox either but it's early). Rusty Blackbirds starting to appear. Purple Finches in a wide variety of places. Also a small flock of Pine Siskins. A late Tennessee today at Howard Conservancy.

This afternoon a nice variety at West Friendship. Three Lincoln's sparrows were a nice surprise as they are tapering off. White-Crowns really starting to move in. Still a few weeks of possible numbers (and rarities!)
