Hi alli

Sadly, I am going to retract my Tree Sparrow sighting from yesterday.   
I believe I had the bird confused with a 1st year White-crowned  
Sparrow.  A lot of wishful thinking might have helped convince me it  
was a Tree, and obvious light tricks, bedevilment, and whatever other  
excuse I can come up with.  The song it was singing did sound awfully  
close to a Tree's, but I've never been too impressive at interpreting  
bird song.

The question that remains is why an imm. White-crowned Sparrow would  
be following me around after I played a Tree Sparrow song? It must  
have met one at some point in it's short life and decided it was a  
cool bird.   So, no life DC bird for me, but still a fun experience.
