Hi All,
As soon as we saw Joe Hanfman's post about the big golden-lover flock in
the field nestled into the corner of Flatland Rd (514) and Mary Morris
Rd we were out the door. It took some careful field-combing but we
eventually relocated them in the low part of the field and counted them
from Flatland Rd. We counted 63 American Golden-Plovers, all appeared to
be juveniles. Also present in the area were 2 Pectoral Sandpipers, 10
Killdeer, a Greater Yellowlegs (across the road near the grassy pond),
24 Horned Larks, and 5 Bald Eagles (one adult).
Good birding,
