Morning all,
A slow morning in the yard, with slim pickens. A pair of brown Purple Finches were in the cherry trees by the firewood, (yesterday there were at least 3 males and 1 brownie here), dwindling numbers of robins and waxwings were still around, a pair of adult Red-shouldered Hawks were perched in my neighbors cow pasture, on the hay feeder, and the bluebirds were along his fenceline. WB Nuthatch, A. Goldfinch and Tufted Titmouse were at the feeders, but the Pine Siskins seem to have moved on (I did not see them yesterday either). A few skulking sparrows along the "hedgerow" yielded only a couple of White-throats and Songs, with a quick glimpse of a disappearing LBJ that looked like a Savannah, but offered no good looks.

We need a good cold front to move through...
