Been out of town for over a week reading the MDOSPREY reports of interesting fall arrivals. Got back last night and filled the feeder in the dark.
This morning early I had my first of fall Fox Sparrow (we rarely get them in the fall in our small backyard) and our first flock of 8 Pine Siskins. Nice to come back and immediately see something new. The Fox Sparrow as the company of a Dark-eyed Junco, a Chipping Sparrow, a White-throated Sparrow and the ever-present House Sparrows.
