I counted as many as 24 American Pipits at Kenilworth Park this morning on the gravel and grass by the soccer goal posts next to the river.  Only the second time I've seen pipits in D.C. and both times have been at Kenilworth Park.  When I left, Steve Hersey, Dan Rauch, Damian Ossi, and Wayne Baumgartner were still there and some of them were trying to refind the female purple finch.
