Yesterday I birded Washington County with my brothers Mike and Tom. We
started out at Blairs Valley Lake where the passerines were especially
active and then we spent most of the rest of the day looking for
arriving waterfowl. An impromptu hawk watch at Fort Frederick SP was
pretty busy and it was hard to stop because we felt like a flyover
Golden Eagle or Northern Goshawk was almost a matter of time. It was
enjoyable and interesting to see the Red-taileds moving through, about
one every five minutes.
