Harford County (Bel Air, near Creswell): This past weekend (10/30 - 31) was another beautiful fall weekend, and a continuation of rich bird life lit up the yard, to include 4 FOSers (for here).

Bald Eagle -- 2 (imm., fly over)
Red-tailed Hawk -- 1 (numerous fly-bys)
Cooper's Hawk -- 1 (young male that seems to be infatuated with the Pileated Woodpecker. Round and round they went ... talk about picking on someone your own size. Looked like a standoff that went on for TWO days)
Pileated Woodpecker -- 1 (still showing well - at least as of Sunday)
Downy, Hairy, Red-bellied (oddly scarce right now) Woodpecker and flicker
Carolina Chickadee -- 5
BLACK-CAPPED CHICKADEE -- 1 (first arrived 10/24)
chickadee sp. -- 5 (probably "ragged" looking Carolinas, perhaps imm. - I gave up on them)
BROWN CREEPER -- 1 (FOS)
WINTER WREN -- 1 (FOS)(really worked up close to and around the house ... great views)
kinglets (I heard some around)
Eastern Bluebird -- 3
Chipping Sparrow -- 1
FOX SPARROW -- 1 (FOS)
White-throated Sparrow -- 10
Dark-eyed Junco -- 5
PURPLE FINCH -- 8 (3 males, 5 females)
PINE SISKIN -- 8 (FOS) (10/31, first two birds came, left, came back, left and then came back as a flock of 8, I guess we were met with approval)
and of course all the rest of the usuals.
