After voting I spent the rest of the morning at Hashawha looking
specifically for chickadees. Birds of interest today:

Sapsucker 1
Carolina Chickadee 17, mostly in ones and twos, only one group of three
BLACK-CAPPED CHICKADEE - 1 on the Vista Trail. I followed this bird for
about twenty minutes as it stayed mostly hidden in the tops of the White
Pines and Mulberries. It was alone but I felt sure of the identification
based on its voice. When it reached the end of the pines it dropped lower to
feed on the Poison Ivy and I had an excellent view of it to confirm the
identification. I believe it has been at least a decade since I have seen
one in the county.
Brown Creeper 1
Winter Wren 1, heard only
Field Sparrow 6
FOX SPARROW 2
Song Sparrow 20
Swamp Sparrow 2
White-throated Sparrow 65
Junco 16

   At Cranberry Reservoir:

Canada Goose 200
Gadwall 3
Black Duck 4
Mallard 2
Black Duck X Mallard 1
Pintail 1
Green-winged Teal 6
Hooded Merganser 7
Ruddy Duck 6

At home I heard 1 Red-breasted Nuthatch and 1 Purple Finch flying over.

On Sunday (10/31) at Piney Run Park new arrivals were 7 Buffleheads, 1
Common Loon, and 2 Horned Grebes.
