Hi Folks,
I spent about two hours at Sandy Point State Park (AA Co.) today,
mostly doing sea watch. This will be the last decent watch I'll be
able to do for a while with the time change coming up this Sat. night,
and daylight ending around 5 p.m. pretty soon. Anyway, I had my first
of season BLACK SCOTER, a female, and also first COMMON LOON. The
only other ducks were Buffleheads (30) and Ruddy's (3). Of most
interest, however, was a constant flurry of BONAPARTE'S GULLs diving
out at a distance, and my high count during one of my many scans was
73. Of course I was looking for the gull with the dark underwing, but
it didn't show up today. I'll keep looking.
