Visited a couple of areas at Triadelphia Reservoir this afternoon to see if the damp weather had forced anything down. An adult male Surf Scoter was the best bird seen. It was in the front bay and easily seen from the Greenbridge Road boat ramp in Montgomery County. Initially it was swimming big circuits in the front bay but was snoozing when I left at 5 PM. Am not sure if it made it over the line into Howard county.

Canada Goose - 200+ (Howard Co)
Surf Scoter - (Mont. Co)
Hooded Merganser - 2 (Howard Co)
Pied-billed Grebe - 4 (2 in each county)
Double-crested Cormorant - 1 (seen in both counties)
Great Blue Heron - 1 (seen in both counties)
Barred Owl - 2 (heard, Howard Co)
Red-bellied Woodpecker - 1 (Mont. Co)
Pileated Woodpecker - 1 (heard, Howard Co)
Golden-crowned Kinglet - 2 (heard, Mont. Co)
